Function Description
The Livoo Gas Plancha is an outdoor cooking appliance designed for barbecuing food on a cooking grid. It features four burners, allowing for versatile cooking options. - Gas Cylinder Compatibility: Can be used with gas cylinders weighing between 4.5KGS and 15KGS for butane, and 3.9KGS to 13KGS for propane. The maximum weight of the cylinder is 6.75KGS.
- Regulator and Hose: Requires a low-pressure regulator and a flexible hose approved for LPG at the specified pressures. The hose length must not exceed 1.5 meters. The regulator's life expectancy is estimated at 10 years.
- Clearance: Must be installed with a clearance of 1 m around the appliance and must not have any overhead obstruction (e.g., trees, shrubs, lean-to roofs).
Usage Features
- Outdoor Use Only: The appliance is strictly designed for outdoor use to ensure adequate ventilation and safety.
- Temperature Control: Food can be barbecued with or without the lid closed. If the lid is closed for 5 minutes, it must be opened for 1 minute to release heat.
- Grease Management: Equipped with a grease tray and a grease cup located under the case to collect excess grease. The grease cup should be checked and emptied when 1/3 full.
- Ignition System: Burners are lit by turning a control knob anticlockwise to the 90° (Full rate) position and simultaneously pressing the ignition button multiple times.
- Flame Adjustment: Burner rates can be adjusted by turning the control knobs anticlockwise between full and low rate positions.
- Safety Precautions:
- Never move the appliance during use.
- Turn off the appliance at the cylinder valve or regulator after use.
- Do not modify the appliance.
- Never mount the gas cylinder under the barbecue.
- Use protective gloves when handling hot components.
- Keep young children away from the appliance as accessible parts can become very hot.
- Do not use the gas grill facing the wind when wind speed is above 2m/s.
- The appliance and cylinder must be placed on a level surface.
- Never light the grill with the lid closed.
- Do not use near flammable materials.

- Gas Leak Check: A soapy water solution should be used to check for leaks at connections. Bubbles indicate a leak, which must be rectified before use. Never use a naked flame for leak detection.
- Cylinder Placement: The gas cylinder should be placed at the left-hand rear of the appliance, as far away as possible without straining the hose. It must be stored outdoors in an upright position, out of reach of children, and away from ignition sources or temperatures above 50°C.
Maintenance Features
- Regular Cleaning: The appliance must be kept clean, especially surfaces in contact with food. Cleaning should be done when the barbecue is cool and the fuel supply is turned off.
- Outside Surface Cleaning: Use mild detergent or baking soda and hot water solution. Non-abrasive scouring powder can be used for stubborn stains. Rinse with water and allow to dry. Never use oven cleaner.
- Interior of Barbecue Bottom Cleaning: Remove residue with a brush, scraper, or cleaning pad, then wash with soapy water solution. Rinse and dry.
- Plastic Surfaces Cleaning: Wash with a soft cloth and hot soapy water solution. Rinse with water. Avoid abrasive cleaners, degreasers, or concentrated barbecue cleaners.
- Cooking Grid Cleaning: Use a mild soapy water solution. Non-abrasive scouring powder can be used for stubborn stains. Rinse with water.
- Grease Tray and Grease Cup Cleaning: The grease cup should be removed first, then the grease tray. The grease cup should be emptied when 1/3 full.
- Burner Assembly Cleaning:
- Turn off the gas and disconnect the cylinder.
- Remove the cooling grate.
- Clean the burner with a soft brush, compressed air, or a cloth.
- Clear clogged ports with a pipe cleaner or stiff wire.
- Inspect for damage (cracks or holes); replace if damaged.
- Ensure gas valve orifices are correctly positioned inside the burner inlet (venturi).
- If lighting issues persist due to insects, use a bottle brush inserted through the burner venturi.
- Annual Servicing: The gas barbecue should be serviced annually by a competent registered person. Users should not attempt to service the appliance themselves.
- Storage: When not in use, the appliance should be stored in its original packaging in a dry, dust-free environment. The gas cylinder must be disconnected and stored outdoors in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
