7.3 Mattress
Several mattresses with different features are available for nursing beds. Use
the following mattress dimensions instructed by the manufacturer:

Density of the mattress should be at least 40 kg/m³ and firmness of
mattresses edge, the CLD (40%) -value, should be at least 3.5 KPa.

Setting the mattress on the sleeping surface:
The mattress shall be set on the sleeping surface in a way that it is positioned
between mattress retention -guides. In the Lojer Modux -nursing beds
mattress retention -guides fold against upper frame and they must be turned
in the position of supporting the mattress before the mattress is set to the bed
(Image 39-40). All four mattress retention -guides shall be set in the correct
position.
