Why Lortone 3A barrel does not turn?
    • R
      Robin LongJul 28, 2025
If the barrel of your Lortone Power Tool isn't turning, turning slowly, or stops after being placed on the tumbler, there could be several reasons. First, ensure the machine is correctly plugged in and the electrical circuit is operational. The barrel might be too heavy, so do not exceed its rated capacity. Also, the belt might be slipping, so try tightening it. If the drive belt is broken, remove the cover and replace the belt. In some cases, the motor might not be running or is running intermittently, requiring a motor replacement. Ensure that the barrel is aligned correctly.

What to do if Lortone 3A barrel leaks?

      Stephanie BaileyAug 6, 2025
If your Lortone Power Tool barrel leaks or the lid comes off during operation, several factors could be the cause. Ensure the inner lid and barrel shoulder are clean and free of contaminants, and that the inner lid is correctly seated on the shoulder inside the barrel. Avoid overtightening the knurled nut; tighten it by hand only until snug, without using tools. Gas build-up in the barrel can also cause leaks, so open the barrel occasionally to vent any gas formed during tumbling. Finally, inspect the barrel or boot gasket for damage and replace it if necessary.

If the barrel of your Lortone Power Tool isn't turning, is turning very slowly, or stops after being placed on the tumbler, first ensure the machine is correctly plugged in and the electrical circuit is working. Then, check if the barrel is aligned correctly. Avoid exceeding the rated capacity, as a too-heavy barrel can cause this issue. Also, inspect the belt; it might be slipping and need tightening, or it could be broken and need replacement. Finally, the motor might not be working properly and require replacement.
