Balanced XLR Input Connector
XLR connectors are used to make balanced
connections to the MRmk3 studio monitors. They
are wired as follows, according to standards specified
by the AES (Audio Engineering Society).
Balanced XLR Input Connector
Pin 1 – Shield (Ground)
Pin 2 – Positive (+ or hot)
Pin 3 – Negative (– or cold)
Balanced 1/4" TRS Input Connector
“TRS” stands for Tip-Ring-Sleeve, the three
connections available on a stereo 1/4" or balanced
phone jack or plug. TRS jacks and plugs are used
to make balanced connections to the MRmk3 studio
monitors.

Tip – Positive (+ or hot)
Ring – Negative (– or cold)

Balanced 1/4" Connectors
Unbalanced RCA Input Connector
RCA-type plugs (also known as phono plugs)
and jacks are often used in home stereo and video
equipment and in many other applications. They are
unbalanced and electrically equivalent to a 1/4" TS
phone plug.
