4. Operation uk
29
4.3.2 Timer RESET for filter replacement
interval
Filter replacement prompt is
displayed on the room air control
every 3 months. We recommend
replacing the filter every 6 months
at the latest. Filter replacement is
simple and requires no tools.
1. Replace the air filter as described in
Chapter 6.2
2. To acknowledge the filter replacement
display, press the OK button for around
3 seconds.
4.4 Parallel operation with RLS 1 WR
and RLS D1 WR
A change in ventilation stage on the RLS 1
WR room air control is not indicated on the
digital RLS D1 WR control.
A change in ventilation stage on the digital
RLS D1 WR room air control is however
indicated on the RLS 1 WR control.
The ventilation unit always runs in the last
ventilation level set regardless of the room air
control on which this was set.
5. Optional system components
5.1 CO
2
sensor (SKD) / VOC sensor
(EAQ 10/2 air quality controller)
CO
2
sensor for registering carbon dioxide.
The CO
2
content of the air is an indicator of
the quality of the room air. The higher the
CO
2
content, the worse the room air quality.
The ventilation unit only reacts to the CO
2
sensor if ventilation level 2 (nominal venti-
lation) is selected on the RLS 1 WR or
RLS D1 WR room air control.
VOC sensor (EAQ 10/2 Air quality control-
ler) for controlling the fans according to the
air quality. The ventilation unit only reacts to
the VOC sensor if ventilation level 2 (nominal
ventilation) is selected at the (RLS 1 WR or
RLS D1 WR) room air control.
CO
2
and VOC sensor: The ventilation unit
switches between the ventilation levels,
depending on the air quality.
If the air quality improves, the ventilation
unit switches over to ventilation level 1.
If the air quality worsens, the ventilation
unit switches over to ventilation level 3.
For CO
2
and VOC switching points of con-
trol Installation instructions, Chapter 4.3.
The connection of 1x CO
2
sensor
or 1x VOC sensor or several HY 5
hygrostats is permitted.
5.2 HY 5 hygrostat
For controlling the fans depending on the
relative humidity. The ventilation unit switches
to ventilation level 3 if the set humidity value
is exceeded. If the humidity in the room
drops, the ventilation unit switches back to
the previously selected ventilation level.
If you switch manually from ventila-
tion level 3 to level 2 or 1, this deacti-
vates the automatic function of the
hygrostat temporarily. This is then
switched back to active if the level
drops below the hygrostat set point
once.
The connection of 1x CO
2
sensor
or 1x VOC sensor or several HY 5
hygrostats is permitted.
6. Cleaning, maintenance
6.1 Safety instructions
Before cleaning or maintenance work,
switch off the ventilation unit with the main
switch [6].
When you open the front cover, a safety
switch (door contact switch) switches the
fans off. In comfort and bypass units, the
frost protection heating register also
switches off. The bypass in the bypass
units closes.
Never operate the ventilation unit without
a filter.
