5. Maintenance
Do not disassemble the hand pump!
Maintenance work on the PreLine
filter system should not be carried
out by the driver or garage
workshop personnel.
5.1. Maintenance plan
According to accumulation of water or
before it freezes
Together with the main fuel filter
Refer to Chapter 5.4 or filter label
5.2. Draining water
The water collected must be drained off when
the water collecting tank is full or the filter
must be changed.
Risk of freezing. Drain off the water
before there is a risk of it freezing.
Switch off the engine to prevent air
getting into the fuel system.
Connect a hose to the outlet opening.
Place a collecting vessel under the
filter before starting work on it and
dispose of any escaping fuel and/or
water collected in accordance with
the locally applicable environmental
regulations.
Unscrew the drain plug (Pos.2, Fig. 4) at
the bottom of the water collecting tank
(Pos. 1, Fig. 4) and let the water drain
out.
Screw the drain plug (Pos.2, Fig. 4) shut
again.
