Why does my Marantz Car Receiver CD playback skip?
CD playback skipping can occur if the receiver is subject to vibration, the disc is dirty, or the disc is very scratched. Install the receiver somewhere free of vibration. Remove the disc and clean it. If the disc is heavily scratched, consider buying a new one.
Why can't I play a CD on my Marantz CR401?
If you can't play a CD, make sure the disc is loaded with the label-side facing up. Also, remove the disc and clean it. If condensation has formed inside the unit, remove the disc and leave the unit turned on for several hours until the condensation has evaporated. For nonstandard CD-R/RW discs, see “Disc Notes”.
