Manual gearbox
Manual gearbox
The manual gearbox has six gears plus
a reverse gear, all of which are
synchronized. The gearshift lever is in
the center of the tunnel.
To engage the gears, press the clutch
pedal right down and shift the gear
lever to one of the positions in the
diagram (the layout is also shown on
the lever knob).
When downshifting, make sure that
you do not exceed the maximum speed
allowed for the engine.
Engage the reverse gear only with the
car stationary.
To engage the reverse gear, shift the
lever to the left overcoming the
resistance of the reaction spring.
In order to shift gears
correctly, you need to press
the clutch pedal down fully:
the area under the pedal board
therefore must be free of any
obstacles. Check that any mats are
always flat on the floor and do not
interfere with the pedals.
