De Tomaso changes strategy and starts
producing Biturbo, a saloon with 2
doors with 6-cylinder engine.

Shamal is the first car featuring the
new Biturbo 8-cylinder with 3200 hp.

Fiat Auto purchases the complete
share package and in 1998 presents the
