Perkins/GTA2520 engine separation
A . General
On 6400 series tractors fitted with a GBA 25 gearbox,
two types of engine can be fitted.
- Perkins six-cylinder engine.
- Perkins four-cylinder engine.
The tractor should be split between the engine and the
gearbox when access is necessary to carry out
operations on the following main elements:
Engine interface
• Transmission damper
• Engine flywheel
• Engine adapter plate
Gearbox interface
• Spacer and sealing ring
• The Powershuttle, Step-up unit and Powershuttle
module

OTE: This section presents a general disassembly
procedure. Before and during disassembly, check that
all connections between the fixed assembly and
mobile assembly have been disconnected.
The cab remains attached to the centre housing.
