Why Masterbuilt MPS 230S burner doesn't light after pressing ignitor button?
- TTabitha JonesSep 8, 2025
If the burner on your Masterbuilt Smoke Alarm doesn’t light after pressing the ignitor button, it could be due to low or no gas flow. Here's what to do: 1. Turn the burner control knob to the “Off” position. 2. Turn the gas cylinder valve knob to OFF. 3. Disconnect the regulator from the cylinder to relieve vapor lock. 4. Reconnect the regulator to the cylinder by hand, turning until tight. 5. Slightly open the gas cylinder valve slowly, and then open further by turning one full turn. 6. Now you are ready to light the smoker. 7. Turn the burner control knob to high and light with ignitor.
