USING THE MITER SAW
CAUTION: Always hold the cutting handle firmly when making a cut, be-
cause the starting and stopping action of the motor may cause the handle to
move up or down slightly.
NOTE: Make the ON/OFF trigger
switch childproof. Insert a small
padlock or chain with padlock
through the holes in the ON/OFF
trigger switch, locking the switch
and preventing children or other
unauthorized users from turning
on the saw (Fig. 13).
CROSSCUTTING (Fig. 13a and 14)
A crosscut is a cut made across
the grain of the workpiece. A
straight crosscut is a cut made
with the miter table set in the 0°
position (Fig.13a). Miter crosscuts
are made with the miter table set
at some angle, left or right, other
than 0° (Fig.14).
