39 Matrix SATATYA PARAM NVR Quick Start
• Server: Specify the database Server Name in the following format:- Database server
name\Instance Name e.g. dbserver\sqlexpress.
• Authentication Mode: Select the desired option from the drop-down list— SQL Server
Authentication or Windows Authentication.
• User Name: Specify the User Name of the user of SQL Server.
• Password: Enter the Password of the user of SQL Server.
• Database Name: Specify the Database Name of the SAMAS application. By default the
application creates a database by the name of “SATATYA_SAMAS”.
Click Create to start the creation of the database.
Click Test Connection to test the connection with the database server. The connection will be
successful only if all the parameters have been configured correctly.
Save the settings once done by clicking Save Setting.
You can now start using the SAMAS applications installed on the computer.
Once the SAMAS database has been created using the above procedure, the administrator needs
to subsequently only use the Upgrade option as and when required. Do not select New Database.
Click Upgrade to upgrade the database.
