b. Leaving Antenna wires connected, flip board out of the way.
9. Remove HDMI cable from UCB socket CN2 (HDMI IN2) if installed.
10. Remove connector from UCB socket CN1 (GYMKIT)
11. Remove connector from UCB socket J1 (TV TUNER) if installed.
12. Remove connector from UCB socket JP12 (QI).
a. Loosen or remove cable fixing bracket, if needed.
13. Remove connector from UCB socket J5 (ANT+).
14. Remove connector from UCB socket JP11 (RE-IR+LED).
15. Remove USB connector from UCB socket CN11 (Front USB).
a. Loosen or remove cable fixing bracket, if needed.
16. Remove connector from UCB socket J9 (Touch).
17. Remove connector from UCB socket J20 (Earphone1) or J21 (Earphone2).
18. Remove connector from UCB socket J15 (Audio SinkA).
19. Remove 7 #2 Phillips screws fixing UCB to display panel; set screws aside to reuse.
NOTE – There may be other cables or devices connecting to the UCB not recorded in this
document – Recommended to take photos or notes of any additional connections for
reference before removal
20. UCB should lift away from console panel; ensure no connections were overlooked.
21. Touch only: Skip this step if only removing UCB to access Touch, LVDS, or Backlight
cables/connectors. Remove microSD from UCB socket CN1 on UCB reverse; set aside to reuse.
Touch only: If the UCB was removed during Display, LVDS Cable, or Touch Panel service, set it aside and
proceed with that task.
Install the UCB
22. Insert microSD in UCB socket CN1 on reverse, if it was removed.
23. Touch only: Gently place UCB into console panel, ensuring only the following cables route
behind board:
a. LVDS
b. Backlight
c. Touch
24. TouchXL only: Gently place UCB into console panel.
a. There are no connections behind the UCB – ensure no connectors are stuck under
board.
25. Align 7 holes on UCB with threaded bosses on panel; affix UCB with 7 #2 Phillips screws.
26. Align & connect the LVDS connector to UCB socket JP4 (LCD).
a. Retaining clips on sides of connector will lock into place.
27. Align & connect the cable to UCB socket J6 (Backlight).
28. Align & connect the RFID antenna wire to UCB socket CN13.
a. Secure the wires to UCB & console panel with tape where appropriate.
29. Install the RFID/NFC board to UCB socket CN12 (RFID/NFC) if previously removed.
