i-SHWAK V4 Inverter air/water chillers and heat pumps with wall-mounted indoor unit and remote condensing outdoor unit
20
When the three-way valve (accessory VDIS1) is de-energized, it is turned to B position (towards the plant side).
Looking at the front side of the valve, the way normally open (B) is in the left side.
8.4.6 Unloading of the plant circuit
If it‘s necessary to drain completely the indoor unit, close the inlet and outlet manual shutters at first (not supplied) and then
remove the pipes that are externally predisposed on the water inlet and outlet to evacuate the liquid contained in the unit (for
making easy the operation, it is recommended to install externally two draining valves on the water inlet and outlet between the
unit and the manual shutters).
8.5 INDICATIVE DIAGRAMS OF THE PLANT CIRCUIT
WARNING: The diagrams shown in this paragraph are should be considered only for illustration purpose. In the
Handbook (see Paragraph 27) are shown diagrams with more details and comprehensive with all the logical and
hydraulic connections in the various possible configurations. Anyway, the study and the approval of the specific
installation context of the plant is always required by a qualified heating engineer.

All the components inside the dashed line "CONNECTIONS THAT SHOULD BE DONE BY THE INSTALLER" are
indicated but are not supplied.
WARNING: It is recommended to install a 3 bar relief valve (not supplied) as shown in the plant diagram. It is
necessary to install one automatic air vent at the highest point of the plant circuit.
If the expansion vessel built-in 8 liters is insufficient to absorb the volume variations system side, install an
expansion tank additional (not supplied).
If VDIS1 accessory is present, during the loading/topping up operation, the black lever of
the 3-way valve (located at the top of the valve) must be positioned halfway and kept in
that position by making a pressure toward the valve interior. In this mode all the three
ways (AB-A-B) communicate with each other and consequently the plant side with DHW
technical side. To unlock the valve, after the end of loading period, push the lever down
until the complete release (check that the lever returns to its lifted position).
Refer to pos. 8 of Paragraph 23.1 and pos. 10 Paragraph 23.2.
(1) Black lever three-way valve
During the operations of loading/topping up, the plugs of the air vent valves must be
partially unscrewed to allow air to flow freely out of the valves.
The models MP are equipped with one air vent valve; the models MPR are equipped with
two air vent valves, one on the plant side, and the other on the primary side of the rapid
preparer of DHW-R.
Refer to pos. 2 of the Paragraph 23.1 and 23.2.
