Why is my Maxfire Grill not getting hot enough?
    • E
      Erik CohenAug 18, 2025
If your Maxfire Grill isn't getting hot enough, start by checking if the LP gas tank is empty and replace or refill if necessary. Another possible cause is the activation of the flow limiting device. To resolve this, try a Mini Reset: turn control knobs and the LP gas tank valve to “OFF”, wait one minute, and relight the grill per the “Lighting Instructions”. If the flames are still too low, perform a Full Reset: turn control knobs and the LP gas tank valve to “OFF”, disconnect the regulator from the propane tank, inspect the LP cylinder rubber seal, wait 1 minute, reconnect the regulator, perform “Leak Testing” on all connections, and then light the grill per the “Lighting Instructions”.

What to do if my Maxfire Torch has flare-ups?
    • T
      Travis MillerAug 21, 2025
Flare-ups on your Maxfire Grill can occur due to several reasons. One common cause is grease buildup; clean all grill parts according to the “Proper Care and Maintenance” instructions. Another reason could be excess fat in the meat, so trim the fat before grilling. Finally, excessive cooking temperature can also cause flare-ups, so adjust the cooking temperature to a lower setting.

How to stop a grease fire in my Maxfire Grill?
    • A
      Amber SullivanAug 26, 2025
If you experience a grease fire in your Maxfire Grill, the cause may be grease trapped by food buildup around the burner system. To address this: 1. Turn control knobs and LP gas tank valve to “OFF”. 2. Leave the lid in open or closed position and let the fire burn out. Use a BC type fire extinguisher or baking soda, sand, or dirt to smother the fire if necessary. 3. After the grill cools, remove and clean all parts per “Proper Care and Maintenance” instructions.

Why does my Maxfire Torch Grill have an irregular flame pattern?
    • A
      Adam KnightAug 28, 2025
An irregular flame pattern on your Maxfire Grill, where the flame doesn't run the full length of the burner, can be caused by clogged or blocked burner ports. Clean the burner ports to resolve this issue. Another potential cause is that the air shutter on the burner needs adjustment; refer to the section on “Burner Adjustment”.

What to do if the flame keeps blowing out on my Maxfire Grill?
    • D
      Desiree GallegosSep 1, 2025
If the flame on your Maxfire Grill blows out, it could be due to high or gusting winds; avoid using the grill in these conditions. Another cause might be low LP gas, so replace or refill the LP gas tank. Additionally, burner holes may be obstructed; refer to the “Burner Assembly/Maintenance” instructions. A tripped flow limiting device could also be the reason; refer to the “Regulator Resetting Procedure”.

Why is the flame on my Maxfire Grill yellow or orange?
    • L
      Lisa WiseSep 4, 2025
A yellow or orange flame on your Maxfire Grill can occur for several reasons. If it's a new burner, it may have residual manufacturing oils; burn the grill for 15 minutes on “HIGH” with the lid closed. Another cause could be spider webs or insect nests in the venturi, so clean the venturi and burner assembly. Food residue or grease can also cause this issue; clean the burner assembly. Finally, poor alignment of the valve to the burner venturi can be the problem; ensure the burner venturi is properly engaged with the valve. See the section on “Burner Adjustment”.

    • A
      Amanda AndersonSep 7, 2025

How to fix a Maxfire Torch Grill burner that won't light?
    • K
      Katie BakerNov 14, 2025
If the burner on your Maxfire Grill won't light, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the LP gas tank valve is open and the regulator is securely attached. Also, check if the LP gas tank is low or empty, and replace or refill it if needed. If there's a gas leak, turn the LP gas tank valve to “CLOSED”, wait 5 minutes, and follow the “Leak Testing” instructions. Other possible causes include a disconnected coupling nut and regulator, obstruction of gas flow (clean burner assembly or check for bent/kinked hose), improperly seated burner (reseat burner and valve), spider webs or insect nest in venturi (clean venturi and burner assembly), clogged or blocked burner ports (clean burner ports), a dead battery (replace the battery), cooking residue on wires or electrode (clean with rub...
