b) For soups, sauces and liquids: freeze first and then vacuumize,
keep the vacuumized bag or canister with these stuff in refrigerator
c) For powdery or fine-grained foods: avoid overfilling bags or use a
canister. You can also place a coffee filter or paper towel inside
before vacuum packaging.
9. To avoid overfilling, always leave at least 3 inches of bag material
between bag contents and top of bag. Then leave at least one
additional inch of bag material for each time you plan to reuse bag.
10. When using canister, remember to leave one inch from canister
cover rim, and make sure upper lid is already locked before
vacuuming.
11. Pre-freeze fruits and blanch vegetables before vacuum packaging for
best results.
Note: To avoid possible illness, do not reuse bag after storing raw
meats, fish or greasy foods.
Vacuum Packaging Non-food items
The vacuum preservation system also protects non-food items from
oxidation, corrosion and moisture. Simply follow the directions to vacuum
package items using bag and canisters.
1. To vacuum package silver, wrap fork tines in soft cushioning material,
such as a paper towel, to avoid puncturing bag.
2. The appliance can keep camping supplies such as matches, first aid
kits and clothing clean and dry. Keep flares for auto emergencies
ready.
3. Also keep batteries, candles, film, photo, nut, bolts, screw and
anything you want to stay dry.
