Before welding new mounting plates in
position, wrap hydraulic hoses close to
the welds, with small welding blanket
(FIG. 5-1A). Protect hoses on the main
frame, from heat and splatter, with
another welding blanket (FIG. 5-1).

7. Install liftgate on vehicle according to
instructions in the installation manual.
6. Remove welding blankets.
NOTE: Use new plastic ties (not provid-
ed with kit) to secure the tubes
and hoses to main frame on
Gravity Down models.
