1. Do
the CHECKING HYDRAULIC
FLUID procedure in this manual.
If necessary, add hydraulic ! uid.
3. Check pump oil " lter in the reservoir
(FIG. 27-1). Clean or replace " lter if
necessary.
4. Check for dirty raising relief valve
(FIG. 27-1). Clean or replace valve
if necessary.
2. Check for structural damages
and replace worn parts.

Keep dirt, water and other contaminants
from entering the hydraulic system. Be-
fore
opening the hydraulic ! uid reservoir
" ller cap, drain plug and hydraulic lines,
clean up contaminants that can get in
the openings. Also, protect the openings
from accidental contamination during
maintenance.
