What to do if the oven door will not unlock on my Maytag MER6775AAS?
    • A
      Andrew SullivanAug 14, 2025
If the oven door on your Maytag Ranges will not unlock, first allow the self-cleaning cycle to complete. If the oven is still hot, the door will not unlock until it has cooled to a safe temperature. Do not force the door open, as this will void the warranty. You can blow cool air on the door latch area to quicken the cooling process.

Why are the elements in my Maytag MER6775AAS not heating?
    • R
      Robert HinesAug 17, 2025
The surface or oven elements may not be heating due to a lack of power or improperly set oven controls. Ensure the plug is securely inserted into the receptacle, check and reset the circuit breaker or replace the fuse. Also, verify that the surface and/or oven controls have been properly set and that the oven is not set for a delayed operation. If it is an upper oven, ensure it is not in a toasting operation.
