1. Safety Rules

I. TRAINING

Learn controls and proper use. Emphasize care and concentration. Avoid loss of control on slopes.

II. PREPARATION

Reduce fire risk, inspect for debris, wear proper footwear and trousers, remove objects from area.

III. OPERATION

Avoid confined spaces, mow in daylight, disengage blades, limit slopes to 15°, be alert for hazards, use counterweights.

4. Before starting.

Filling up

Use unleaded petrol, fill outdoors, do not smoke, check tank and pipes. Warning about flammable petrol.

Oil level

Check oil level before each run, ensure tractor is horizontal. Use SAE 30 or SAE 5W-30 oil.

Tire air pressure

Check tire pressure regularly. Front tires: 1 bar (14 PSI), back tires: 0.8 bar (12 PSI).

5. Driving.

Starting of motor

Sit on seat, depress brake, set parking brake, ensure cutting unit is disengaged and raised.

IMPORTANT! COLD STARTING FOR HYDRO

Warm up transmission for 1 min in neutral before driving below 40°F (4°C).

PURGE TRANSMISSION

Remove trapped air from transmission before first use or after service.

Driving

Lower cutting unit, release pedal, engage unit, select speed based on terrain and desired cut.

Reverse Operation System (ROS)

System allows mowing in reverse. Warning against mowing in reverse unless necessary.

Cutting tips

Clear lawn of objects, mark stones, start with high cut, mow often, avoid wet grass.

To Dump Bagger

Turn off alarm, position tractor, engage parking brake, raise and pull handle to dump clippings.

To convert mower:

Instructions for converting to mulching, rear discharging, or bagging. Purchase of accessories may be required.

WARNING! (regarding slopes)

Do not drive on slopes over 15°. Risk of roll-over backwards is large. Avoid stopping/starting on slopes.

Switching off the engine

Disengage attachment clutch, slow throttle, lift cutting unit, turn key to STOP.

6. Maintenance, Adjustment.

WARNING! (before servicing)

Disconnect spark plug wire before servicing engine or cutting unit. Follow specific safety steps.

Engine hood

Steps to raise, unsnap connector, remove, and reinstall the engine hood.

Maintenance

Periodic maintenance is key. Check bolts, battery, air screen, brakes.

Cleaning

Clean machine, avoid high pressure washer. Clean steering plate. Caution: pinch points.

TO CHANGE OIL

Procedure for changing engine oil. Caution: hot oil. Warning about overtightening.

6. Operator Presence System and Reverse Operation System (ROS)

CHECK OPERATOR PRESENCE SYSTEM

Verify operator presence system prevents engine start if operator leaves seat without parking brake.

CHECK REVERSE OPERATION SYSTEM (ROS)

Verify ROS allows reverse mowing with attachment clutch engaged, but engine should shut off if ignition is not in ROS 'ON' position.

Blade Care

Keep blades sharp for best results. Sharpen equally to avoid imbalance.

Blade Removal

Steps to remove mower blades. Caution: sharp blades. Important: center hole alignment.

To Remove Center Chute

Steps to remove the center discharge chute. Assembly is in reverse order.

To Remove Mower

Steps to remove the entire mower deck assembly from the tractor.

Assembly of the cutting unit

Instructions for installing the cutting unit onto the tractor. Assembly in reverse order.

6. To Replace Mower Drive Belt

MOWER DRIVE BELT REMOVAL

Steps to remove the drive belt from pulleys and guides.

MOWER DRIVE BELT INSTALLATION

Steps to install the drive belt onto pulleys and guides. Check routing.

6. To Level Mower

VISUAL SIDE-TO-SIDE ADJUSTMENT

Adjust mower height for even side-to-side cutting. Use adjustment nut to raise or lower.

PRECISION SIDE-TO-SIDE ADJUSTMENT

Precise side-to-side adjustment for level cutting. Measure blade tip to ground distance.

6. TRANSAXLE MOTION CONTROL LEVER NEUTRAL ADJUSTMENT

NEUTRAL ADJUSTMENT

Adjust motion control lever to ensure tractor remains stationary in neutral position.

6. MAINTENANCE - TRANSAXLE

TRANSAXLE PUMP FLUID

Transaxle is sealed, fluid maintenance not required. Contact service for leaks.

7. Troubleshooting.

Engine will not start

Check fuel, plug, connections, carburetor, fuel pipe.

Start motor will not turn engine

Check battery, contacts, ignition, fuse, pedal safety contact.

Engine runs unevenly

Check gear, plug, carburetor, air filter, fuel tank ventilation, ignition, fuel pipe.

Engine feels weak

Check air filter, plug, carburetor, fuel pipe.

Engine overheats

Check for overload, blocked inlets, fan, oil level, ignition, plug.

Battery does not charge

Check fuse, battery cells, cable contacts.

Lighting does not function

Check connector, bulbs, switch, cable short-circuit.

The machine vibrates

Check for loose blades, engine, or blade imbalance.

Uneven cutting results

Check for blunt blades, skewed unit, grass conditions, tire pressure, gear, belt.

8. Storage.

The following steps should be taken when mowing season is over

Clean machine, touch up paint, change oil, drain fuel, remove battery, store indoors.
