    • C
      Crystal SandersAug 19, 2025
If your McCulloch Lawn Mower won't start, there are several potential causes. First, make sure the fuel tank is full. If the engine is not choked properly, refer to the “TO START ENGINE” section in the Operation section. If the engine is flooded, wait a few minutes before trying again. Other possible causes include a bad spark plug (replace it), a dirty air filter (clean or replace it), a dirty fuel filter (replace it), water in the fuel (empty the fuel tank and carburetor, refill with fresh gasoline, and replace the fuel filter), loose or damaged wiring (check all wiring), or engine valves out of adjustment (contact an authorized service center/department).

How to improve poor grass discharge from McCulloch Lawn Mower?
    • K
      Karen CooperAug 30, 2025
If your McCulloch Lawn Mower has poor grass discharge, make sure the engine speed is not too slow by placing the throttle control in the “FAST” position and that your travel speed is not too fast by shifting to a slower speed. Wet grass can also cause this issue, so allow the grass to dry before mowing. Ensure the mower deck is level and the tire air pressure is correct and even. Check for a worn, bent, or loose blade (replace the blade and tighten the blade bolt if necessary). Clean any buildup of grass, leaves, and trash under the mower. If the mower drive belt is worn, replace it. Make sure the blades are installed with the sharp edge down and that you are using the proper blades (refer to the parts manual). Finally, clear any clogged mower deck vent holes around the mandrels.
