PRESSURE
REGULATING
VALVE
DESCRIPTION
A
pressure
regulating
valve
is
installed
at
the
rear
of
the
A/C
compressor
to
provide
belt
tension
and
prevent
drive
belt
from
slipping.
PRESSURE
SETTING
To
increase
pressure
setting,
install
an
air
gauge
between
the
pressure
regulator
and
belt
tightener
air
cylinder.
Loosen
lock
nut
on
regulator
valve,
turn
adjusting
screw
until
air
pressure
reading
on
gauge
is
95 psi.
NOTE:
Turn
the
4 way
air
control
valve
to
"'off'
and
"on"
position
several
times
and
check
the
air
gauge
for
95 psi.
setting.
After
proper
reading
is
accomplished,
tighten
lock
nut
at
top
of
valve
and
remove
gauge
and
install
air
lines.
Check
lines
for
air
leaks.
CAUTION:
Adjust
pressure
regulating
valve
by
turning
screw
clockwise
to
accomplish
final
95
psi.
setting.
