Operation
4.6.1 Lowering the Pusher or Tag Axle
1. Bring the truck to a complete stop and apply the parking
brake (refer to the chassis manufacturer’s procedure).
2. Press DOWN on the PUSHER rocker switch or the TAG
rocker switch to lower the appropriate axle.
3. Resume normal operations.
NOTE
The pusher axle is designed to lift
automatically when the vehicle is put in
reverse. The axle must be lowered again
before beginning forward travel.
4.6.2 Raising the Pusher or Tag Axle
1. Bring the truck to a complete stop and apply the parking
brake (refer to the chassis manufacturer’s procedure).
2. Press UP on the PUSHER rocker switch or the TAG
rocker switch to raise the appropriate axle.
3. Resume normal operations.
