  If your McQuay Chiller motor speed isn't reaching the target frequency, consider these points: * If using the analog input, check the current or voltage at [O] or [OI]. Reduce the load, as heavy loads activate the overload restriction feature, which reduces output as needed. * Ensure the inverter isn't internally limiting the output frequency by checking the max frequency setting (A_04) and the frequency upper limit setting (A_61).

  If the direction of your McQuay Chiller motor is reversed, check the following: * Ensure the connections of output terminals [U/T1], [V/T2], and [W/T3] are correct according to the motor's phase sequence. Generally, FWD = U-V-W, and REV = U-W-V. * Verify that control terminals [FW] and [RW] are wired correctly, using terminal [FW] for forward and [RV] for reverse. Also, confirm that parameter F_04 is properly set to control motor direction.

If power was turned OFF after a parameter edit but before pressing the Store key, edit the data again and press the Store key. 2. Since edits to data are permanently stored at power down, ensure the time from power OFF to power ON is six seconds or more after editing data. Wait six seconds or more before turning power OFF. 3. If a download to the inverter was attempted, copy data to the inverter again, and keep power ON for six seconds or more after copying.

  If the RPM of the McQuay Chiller motor doesn't match the inverter output frequency setting, verify the V/f settings match the motor specification and ensure all scaling (such as A_11 to A_14) is properly set. Also, check if the maximum frequency setting A_04 is correct and if the monitor function D_01 displays the expected output frequency.

  If a parameter in your McQuay Chiller won't change after editing and reverts to the old setting, it may be because the inverter is in Run Mode. Some parameters cannot be edited during Run Mode. Put the inverter in Stop Mode (press the Stop/reset key) and then edit the parameter. Also, if you’re using the [SFT] intelligent input (software lock function), check the state of the SFT input and the B_31 parameter (SFT mode).
