NNUAL PM INSTRUCTIONS
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE KIT
Commence a cycle on both sides. Check the following items:
Cycle parameters are adjusted to appropriate settings.
Sensors are set and working properly.
Proper operation of the cycle.
No leaks occur during the disinfection cycle.
No leaks occur during the rinse cycle.
The external water pressure during the flush mode meets the installation requirements, (35-40 PSI).
The alcohol and detergent solutions inject as desired (if used).
The basin fills to the appropriate level during the disinfectant and rinse phases.
No excessive noise or fumes are noted.
When the disinfectant cycle begins, press the TEST button on the GFI outlet which is located on the inside back
wall of the cabinet and has the printer transformer plugged into it. Wait five seconds and then depress the RESET
button on the GFI in order to reapply AC power. The DSD EDGE endoscope reprocessor should resume the
disinfectant cycle from the step where it stopped.
Ensure that the DSD EDGE endoscope reprocessor completes one full disinfectant cycle on each side without any
alarms.
During the cycle, ensure that there are no leaks inside the unit and bleed any air from the housing using the bleeder
valve.
Check the accuracy of the LCD display for the date and time. If incorrect reset the values using the SETUP, 2,
ENTER (for the date) and SETUP, 3, ENTER (for the time).
Clean any fluid or residue from the cabinet assembly.
If all checks pass, waterline disinfection must be performed prior to the reprocessing of endoscopes. Refer to the
operations manuals for instructions. Once the waterline disinfection is complete, the unit is ready to reprocess
endoscopes.
