Assembly
Release the brakes. Hold the wheel
around the hub, through the spokes
with one hand. Press the axle knob
with your thumb and slide the wheel
into the axle plate socket until the stop.
Release the button - the backwheel is
installed.
CAUTION: Make sure that the axles
are well locked in and that
the axle knob is not pressed
down. Check by pulling the
wheels outwards.

Release the brakes. Hold the wheel around the hub, through the
spokes with one hand. Press the axle knob with your thumb and
slide the wheel out of the axle plate socket.

Pull the backrest up by the T-handle until the side-guard supporters
slide on the backrest tubes into place.
CAUTION: Make sure that the side-guard supporters are well
engaged by pressing them down.
Folding the wheelchair
Backwheels: assembly and removal
When necessary, you can reduce the bulkyness of the K3 / K4 even
further in that you remove the backwheels. The "Quick Release" floating
axles, used in series on all Küschall wheelchairs, considerably simplify
this operation.

The K3 and K4 are rigid wheelchairs. Only the
backrest can be folded frontwards.
If a cushion is placed on the wheel-
chair, remove it. Pull the cord (1.),
placed on the back of the wheelchair,
upwards, press the backrest down (2.).
