Check that the power switch is in the OFF
position before plugging in the plug.
Switch o the machine and pull out the
plug before moving it.
Maintenance
Switch o the machine, pull out the plug
and wait until all moving parts have
completely stopped before cleaning
and/or maintenance.
Do not carry out any maintenance or
adjustments other than as described in
these instructions. Any other repairs must
be carried out by an authorised service
centre or other qualied personnel.
Only use spare parts recommended by the
manufacturer. The use of other parts can
result in personal injury, material damage,
and/or damage to the environment. It will
also invalidate the warranty.
Special safety instructions
Never allow children, persons with
functional disorders or persons who are
unfamiliar with the machine and these
instructions, to use it.
Do not use the machine if it is not fully
assembled and complies with all the
instructions.
Check that the machine is working properly.
Double-check that the bar is correctly and
rmly tted, that the chain is correctly
tensioned and that the chain brake is
working.
Check that all screw unions are properly
tightened at regular intervals.
Check that the work area is free from
obstructions and foreign objects.
Pay attention to the surroundings
Keep other people, especially children, and
pets at a distance of at least 15 metres from
the work area.
Do not use the machine in bad weather or
in the dark.
Only use the machine to saw wood. Do not
use the machine for any other purpose
than the one it is designed for.
Keep the handles clean, dry and free from
oil and grease. Greasy handles make it
dicult to hold the machine – risk of
personal injury and/material damage.
Do not saw bushes – thin branches can
fasten in the chain and get thrown out.
Always maintain a rm footing and good
balance. Avoid unbalanced and awkward
positions when working. Be careful when
working on slopes.
Hold the machine rmly with both hands.
Hold the back handle in your right hand
and the front handle in your left hand, even
if you are left-handed. Keep a rm grip on
both handles.
Keep your hands and the rest of your body
away from the chain when the machine is
running. Check that the chain is not
touching the ground or an object when
starting the machine.
Never saw above shoulder height. Do not
lead forwards or backwards.
Never use the machine from a ladder, tree
or other unstable place. This could cause
you to lose your balance or lose control of
the machine.
Do not overreach.
Be careful to avoid slipping or falling,
especially when walking backwards.
Always work with the chain at top speed.
Do not saw wood under tension.
Do not work alone. Always make sure there
is another person nearby who can come
and help if necessary.
Switch o the machine and apply the chain
brake before moving away. Carry the
machine with the bar pointing behind you
and the guard in place.
Do not expose the machine to rain or
moisture.
Keep the power cord away from the work
area. Always keep the power cord behind you.
