CAUTION
Avoid product damage.
The following situations could cause water to enter the engine through
the exhaust system, which could cause engine component failure:
• Unloading a boat from a trailer
• Slowing down rapidly or stopping suddenly
• Backing up rapidly
In any of the situations described in the preceding caution, water entering
the engine could cause severe damage to internal parts. Refer to
Attention Required After Submersion in the General Information section
of this manual.
