OIL FILLING
1. Remove the oil fill cap and add approximately 5.2 liter (5.5 US qt) of the
recommended oil. This will bring the oil level within the midpoint of the
operating range.
2. Idle engine for five minutes and check for leaks. Stop the engine. For an
accurate oil level reading, allow the engine to cool for at least an hour
before checking the oil level. Refer to Fuel and Oil Checking and
Adding Engine Oil.
NOTE: Checking the oil level within five minutes of engine shutdown can falsely
read up to 1 liter (1 US qt) low. Allow the engine to cool for at least an hour
before checking the oil level.
