1. Tilt outboard out/up past vertical for approximately one minute
to allow trapped oil to drain back to the oil sump.
2. Place the outboard in a vertical position.
3. Remove dipstick and slide adapter tube of crankcase oil pump
through oil dipstick hole, to bottom of engine oil sump.

without draining the crankcase.
4. Pump out the engine oil into an appropriate container.
DRAIN METHOD
1. Tilt outboard up to the trailer position.
2. Turn the outboard so that the drain hole is facing downward.
3. Remove the drain plug/seal and drain the engine oil into an
appropriate container.
IMPORTANT: Replace the seal washer if damaged.
4. Lubricate seal washer on the drain plug with oil and reinstall.

CHANGING OIL FILTER
IMPORTANT: To reduce or prevent oil spillage when removing the
oil filter ensure that the outboard is upright (not tilted) and the
engine is cold or has not run for at least one hour.
