Warning Horn
Function Sound Description
Water in fuel Four beeps every 2
minutes
Water in engine mounted
fuel filter. Refer to
Maintenance - Water
Separating Fuel Filter.
Low battery Four beeps every 2
minutes
Battery charging unable to
keep up with demand.
Raise engine speed, to
increase charge, or shut
down accessories, to
reduce demand.
Cooling system problem Continuous Engine Guardian System
is activated. Power limit
will vary with level of
overheat. Shift outboard
into neutral and check for
a steady stream of water
coming out of the water
pump indicator hole. If no
water is coming out of the
water pump indicator hole
or flow is intermittent, stop
engine and check water
intake holes for
obstruction.
Oil pressure low Continuous Engine Guardian System
is activated. Power limit
will vary depending on
available oil pressure.
Stop engine and check oil
dipstick. Add oil if
necessary. Refer to Fuel
and Oil - Checking and
Adding Engine Oil.
