17. Next, configure the gateway functionality by following the prompts on the screen. After the desired selections are made,
select SAVE.
NOTE:Gateway functionality only applies to boats with steer‑by‑wire systems; Joystick Piloting, Outboard, Sterndrive, or
Zeus. CAN H may be active on DTS or non‑DTS applications depending on boat setup.
a - Waypoint and route data only. Does not transmit GPS speed from NMEA to
SmartCraft.
b - Allows devices on the NMEA network to use the SmartCraft GPS data.
NOTE:GPS speed and position cannot be transmitted from the NMEA network, SIMRAD MFD, Garmin MFD, or
Raymarine MFD to SmartCraft for the use of features such as Active Trim, speed‑based cruise, and Smart Tow. A
Mercury GPS must be installed to use these features.
18. Verify that the Wi‑Fi LED is solid, indicating that the device has completed a cloud sync. If this is not verified, there is no
certainty that the configuration was delivered to the module.

For tank configuration, return to the CONFIGURATION screen, and select the Configure Tanks option and select
START.
