9. Fit a new cover gasket (Fig. 2.76) and place the cover air
intake in position (Fig. 2.77).
Fit the four capscrews and washers. Tighten the screws to a
torque value of 10 -12 Nm.

Installation & Adjustment of the
Differential Lock Sensor Switch
NOTE: The checking and adjustment of the differential sensor
switch should be carried out with the complete rear axle installed
on the vehicle. However, the switch setting procedure can be
carried out in a carrier rig using dummy axle shafts and test
meter as shown in Fig. 2.81.
1. Before fitting the switch, coat the switch point with MoliKote
GN Plus grease.
Apply Loctite 573 sealant to the threads (Fig. 2.78) and
carefully screw the switch into the differential casing approx. 3
threads (Fig. 2.79).
