Check rated mains voltage and frequency match power supply before plugging in.
Install workpiece support as shown in illustrations A, page 3.
Install spark deflector and eye preservers as shown in illustrations B, page 3.
Place machine on stable workbench, ensure secure seating, or bolt down.
Fit extraction device for double-wheeled grinders, 35 mm diameter.
Carry out a 5 min test run without load before initial use.
Adjust supports frequently to compensate for grinding wheel wear, keep distance <= 2 mm.
Adjust spark deflectors regularly to compensate for wear, keep distance <= 2 mm.
Operate switch (11) for on/off. Avoid inadvertent starts.
Hold workpiece with both hands, press gently against wheel/belt, move to and fro.
Use wet wheel only with water, immerse wheel 1/3, support workpiece on levels.
Unplug, rotate belt, use knob (14) to center it on the roller.
Use original Metabo wheels, check speed, inspect for damage before use.
Remove cover (16), swivel lever (12), replace belt, return lever.
Regularly replace water, dismantle for cleaning with water and brush.
