Peak vs. Average Power Readings

Use the PEAK/AVG button to switch between peak envelope and average power readings.

Reading Forward Power

Interpret the forward power measurement on the left meter scale based on the selected range.

Reading Reflected Power

Interpret the reflected power measurement on the right meter scale based on the selected range.

Measuring SWR

Determine SWR by observing where the forward and reflected needles cross the red curves.

Calibration Procedure

Equipment and Test Setup

Gather required equipment and set up the test configuration as illustrated in Figure 1.

Forward Power Scale Calibration

Adjust HI FWD and LO FWD trim pots to calibrate the forward power scales accurately.

Reflected Power Scale Calibration

Adjust HI REF and LO REF trim pots to calibrate the reflected power scales accurately.

Calibration Continued

SWR Calibration and Frequency Specificity

SWR requires no calibration; repeat meter calibration for each frequency as needed.
