It will be seen that the complete
differential assembly is clamped in position by two bridge pieces, having nuts
of the
"
ring
"
type on either side; the object of these nuts is to permit of
lateral movem'ent of the unit in order to obtain correct meshing of th,e bevel
gears. Once these have been set at the Works the~e is practically no necessity
