7.1.3. Transfer-/Separator Charger Cleaning
Turn off the printer and pull the power plug before start working at the
chargers.
1. Open the front cover of the printer.
2. Press down the open lever to open the waste toner recovery unit.

Make sure the transfer-/separator charger is in its "down" position to
avoid damaging the photoreceptor drum (see section 7.6 Transfer-
/Separator Charger Replacing).
3. Turn to loosen the knob screw at the transfer-/separator
charger (C3) and pull the charger out towards you.
