Why doesn't my Midea MB-YN161 Rice Cooker automatically insulate after cooking rice?
- AAmy BarrettAug 4, 2025
If your Midea Rice Cooker isn't automatically switching to insulation after cooking rice or coke, the issue may stem from several causes. The cooking button and lever linkage might not be flexible, or the magnet temperature limiter may be malfunctioning. Alternatively, the main thermostat could be burned out or have loose wiring, the main circuit board could be damaged, or the main thermostat surfaces could be dirty. For all of these issues, except the dirty thermostat, it is recommended to send the cooker to a specified maintenance department. Clean dirty thermostat surfaces with 320# sandpaper.
