EMERGENCY CALL
You can send an Emergency Call Alert tone to other radios on the same
channel/frequency and Privacy Code to alert them of an Emergency Situation.
1. Press the Orange Emergency Call Alert button on top of the radio to
activate the alert.
2. A call tone (siren) will be heard on your radio and all other radios on the
same channel/frequency and Privacy Code for 30 seconds.
3. Your radio will then go into “Open PTT” mode for 30 seconds allowing you
to send an Emergency voice transmission without pressing the PTT button.
4. Your radio will then return to normal operation.
5. You can cancel the Emergency Call Alert at any time by pressing the
orange Emergency Call button a second time, or resume normal TX/RX
operation after the emergency transmission is complete.
• Only radios on the same frequency and privacy code will receive
the Emergency Alert.
• You will not be able to send or receive voice transmissions while
the Emergency Call Alert tone is on.
• Only you will be able to send a transmission when your radio is in
“Open PTT” mode. Others will not be able to transmit to you until
the radio returns to its normal state.
