Installation Manual for Smart Reader Data Logger
Midmark M9/M11 Autoclave
Disconnect all electrical power to the unit before removing any of the unit’s covers to prevent
possibility of electrical shock. Failure to comply with these instructions could result in seri-
ous personal injury.
1. Gently lift printer cover from the sterilizer top pane. If the printer is
installed please remove the printer. (Picture A)
2. Using a Philips type screwdriver remove the top
two (2) screws. (Picture B)
3. Tilt right side panel open. If printer is present
please unplug the printer ribbon from the PC
board. Remove the ribbon cable.
4. Place the Smart Reader Data Logger on top of the
Sterilizer and pull the ribbon cable through the access hole in the top
compartment. (Picture C & D)
5. Plug the ribbon cable into the connector on the
circuit board. (Picture C & D)
NOTE: The ribbon cable plug will only fit one way with the tab facing up.
6. Close side panel and reinstall the two (2) screws.
7. Place printer cover back into its place, leaving the ribbon cable from the Smart Reader Data
Logger coming out of the back of the printer cover.
8. Position the Smart Reader Data Logger at least 2 inches back from the front of the Sterilizer to
avoid escaping steam.
9. You have completed the installation part. Please plug the Autoclave back in.
Everything is now complete and your new Smart Reader Data Logger is ready
to save all your data.
