Problem Possible cause and remedy
The flame suddenly
looks different.
The burner parts are not positioned correctly.
Position the burner parts correctly.
The burner head or the holes in the burner cap are
dirty.
Remove any soiling.
The gas flame goes out
during operation.
The burner parts are not positioned correctly.
Position the burner parts correctly.
There has been a power outage.
See "Operation - "Switching on during a power
outage".
The ignitor on the
burner does not spark.
The mains circuit breaker has tripped.
You may need to contact a qualified electrician or
Miele.
There is food residue stuck between the ignitor and
the burner cap.
There is food residue on the ignition safety device.
Remove any soiling (See "Cleaning and care").
