Problem Cause and remedy
Fault 433 The door was obstructed when closing and cannot be
drawn into the final closed position.
 Remove the obstruction from the vicinity of the door.
Fault 438 Heavy objects in front of the dishwasher can impede the
automatic opening of the door by the Comfort lock.
 Do not place heavy objects in front of the door of the
machine.
Fault 492, 504, 541 The programme has not started properly. There might be
water in the wash cabinet.
 Clean the filter combination (see “Cleaning and care”).
 Clean the non-return valve (see “Maintenance”).
Fault 550 The Waterproof system has reacted.
 Close the stopcock.
 Call the Miele Service Department.
Fault578 The peak load cut-out has lasted longer than 3hours.
 Have your electrical system and your energy
management system tested by a suitably qualified
person.
Fault XXX
(XXX stands for a number)
There may be a technical fault.
After 10 seconds:
 Switch the dishwasher back on.
 Select the programme you want.
 Press the Start/Stopbutton.
If the fault message appears again, there is a technical
fault.
 Call the Miele Service Department.
