Cleaning the drain pump and non-return valve
If water has not pumped out at the end of a program, there may be a
foreign object in the drain pump or blocking the non-return valve.
These are easy to remove.
Disconnect the dishwasher from the water supply and the electrical
supply (turn the dishwasher off, unplug it or disconnect or disable
the fuse).
Take the filter combination out of the wash cabinet (see "Cleaning
and care").
Lift the locking clamp.
Lift out the non-return valve and rinse well under running water.
Make sure that the vent on the external part of the non-return valve
is not blocked. (This vent is only visible when the non-return valve
has been taken out of the dishwasher). If it is blocked, use a
pointed object to release the blockage.
