The Release Notes include a list of new features and improvements, as well as known issues
and limitations associated with the latest version of the Kaleido-X software.
Overview
Kaleido-X version 6.71 is a minor release available for the Kaleido-IP multiviewer only.
Version 6.71 includes two bug fixes (see
page 5).
New Features and Enhancements
The following is a complete list of features and enhancements introduced over the course
of the latest three major versions of the Kaleido-X software.
New Features in Kaleido-X Version 6.70
• [Ref. #KX-5980] Kaleido-IP audio decoding: Support for MPEG-4 AAC audio streams
encapsulated with LATM/LOAS formatting as defined in ETSI TS 101
154 V1.10.1
(2011-06).
• [Ref. #KX-6334] KMV-3901/3911 router control: Support for the Thomson/Grass Valley
(Philips) ES-Switch protocol (serial).

Enhancements in Kaleido-X Version 6.70
• [Ref. #KX-6412] Kaleido-IP support for DVB subtitling: Full support for DVB subtitling
compliant with ETSI EN 300

• To install and use XEdit, you must be connected to the multiviewer over an
Ethernet network, or have access to the Miranda Support portal. Refer to
Installing XEdit in the Quick Start Guide that shipped with your multiviewer,
for more information.
