[Ref. #KX-6556] Kaleido-IP audio decoding: The Kaleido-IP may fail to decode some
LATM-encapsulated AAC audio streams.
[Ref. #KX-6509] Kaleido-IP: The Kaleido-IP may fail to decode elementary video streams
devoid of I frames.
Bugs Fixed in Kaleido-X Version 6.70
• [Ref. #KX-4547] XEdit: Changing the multiviewer model in XEdit when connected to a
Kaleido-IP may have undesirable effects.
• [Ref. #KX-6465] Kaleido-IP: The Kaleido-IP may fail to decode some video streams within
a transport stream that includes non-standard language descriptors.
• [Ref. #KX-6472] Kaleido-IP: On rare occasions, DVB subtitling may remain longer than
expected on the monitor wall.
• [Ref. #KX-4843] Kaleido-X vs. embedded audio: In the case of a KXI-16HSV3, KXI-16HS3,
or KXI-16SV (rev. 600 and later) input card, if Dolby
E is available in an input signal’s
embedded audio streams number 1, 2, 3 or 4, then audio monitors associated with
streams number 5, 6, 7 or 8 may fail to reflect some of the channels’ actual level.
• [Ref. #KX-6426] Kaleido-X16, and Kaleido-X vs. dialnorm: In the case of a Kaleido-X or
Kaleido-X16 multiviewer monitoring Dolby E audio streams, for some encoded
program configurations (5.1+2x1, 4+2x2, 4+4x1, 3x2+2x1, 2+6x1, 4+2, 2x2+2x1, 6x1, 4,
2+2x1, 7.1, and 7.1 Screen, in 20-bit mode; 4+2, and 4, in 16-bit mode), the extracted
dialnorm value may not match the actual encoded value.
• [Ref. #KX-6432] Kaleido-X16, and Kaleido-X audio monitoring: In version 6.60 of the
Kaleido-X software, in the case of a Kaleido-X or Kaleido-X16 multiviewer monitoring
Dolby E audio streams, for encoded program configurations in 16-bit mode, and for
some configurations in 20-bit mode, audio levels shown on the monitor wall may fail to
reflect some of the channels’ actual level.
• [Ref. #KX-6362] Kaleido-X, Kaleido-X16 audio monitoring: The embedded audio signal
at the SDI monitoring output, may fail to be decoded by some equipment.
Note: As of version 6.70, in online mode, XEdit does not allow replacing a
Kaleido-IP model with a Kaleido-X, Kaleido-X16, or Kaleido-Modular.
Conversely when connected to a multiviewer that is not a Kaleido-IP, XEdit
does not allow replacing the current multiviewer with a Kaleido-IP.
