New Features and Enhancements
• [Ref. #KX-6071] Kaleido-IP and SNMP managers: Partial support for KALEIDO-KX-MIB,
which now allows the Kaleido-IP to report service/signal status to an SNMP manager
via the MIB file's
kxVirtualAlarmTable. Refer to the MIB-embedded descriptions for
exceptions (see also Ref. #KX-4998 on
page 30). This table includes entries for all virtual
alarms and logical sources created in XEdit for your multiviewer. For each logical source,
the global alarm and associated text information is available.
New Features in Kaleido-X Version 6.60
• Kaleido-IP support for DVB subtitling:
• [Ref. #KX-5858/F33592] Support for DVB subtitling compliant with ETSI EN 300 743
V1.2.1 (2002-10).
• [Ref. #KX-6339] Partial support for DVB subtitling compliant with ETSI EN 300 743
V1.3.1 (2006-11).
• [Ref. #KX-5912] Video monitor: The video monitor can display DVB subtitling from
Kaleido-IP sources.
• [Ref. #KX-5911] Subtitling monitor: The subtitling monitor is a new layout element,
which defines an area for displaying subtitles extracted from a video signal
independently from the video itself.
• [Ref. KX-6098/F35840] Kaleido-IP: Support for CEA-608 and CEA-708 closed captioning.
Notes
• Extraction of subtitling requires the CC/XDS option, which, in the case of
Kaleido-IP multiviewers, cannot yet be enabled or verified in XAdmin’s
Status and Options page. Contact your Miranda sales representative for
more information.
• When monitoring a program that includes DVB subtitling based on a non-
supported version of ETSI EN 300
743, the Kaleido-IP raises the DVB subtitle
invalid alarm and no subtitling appears on the monitor wall.
Notes
• The SNMP status for an alarm is valid, only when the corresponding source
is monitored on the monitor wall.
• MIB files are available from your multiviewer. To access them, point your
browser to
http://<your Kaleido-IP’s
management
IP
address>/pub
Note: With the current version of the Kaleido-X software, the subtitling
monitor only supports DVB subtitles from Kaleido-IP sources.
Note: Extraction of closed captioning requires the CC/XDS option, which, in
the case of Kaleido-IP multiviewers, cannot yet be enabled or verified in
XAdmin’s Status and Options page. Contact your Miranda sales
representative for more information.
