Kaleido-X
Release Notes
• [Ref. #KX-5054] Kaleido-IP stream lineup import: In the case of a Kaleido-IP, it is now
possible to import, from a spreadsheet in XLS or XLSX format, the configuration
information for the set of streams you wish to monitor. At the same time, the associated
logical sources are automatically added to the sources table.
Enhancements in Kaleido-X Version 6.60
• [Ref. #KX-4805] Router configurations: When importing NVISION router configurations
from an NV9000 system controller, XEdit can automatically create one single-level
physical router and one single-level logical router, for every selected router or profile, at
once (this is now the default behavior), instead of only one router with several levels
(alternate behavior).
• [Ref. #KX-5842] Kaleido-IP: Decoding of a signal’s aspect ratio from AFD metadata.
• [Ref. #KX-5664] Kaleido-IP: Monitoring of a program’s encoded video information (e.g.
encoded video format, aspect ratio, color format, bit rate).
• [Ref. #KX-5762/KX-5763] Kaleido-IP: Support for V-chip monitors and metadata display
monitors in layouts.
• [Ref. #KX-6294] Kaleido-X, Kaleido-X16: Partial support for CEA-608 closed captioning on
line
18 in PAL and SDI-625 video signals. See Ref. #KX-6356 and Ref. #KX-6357 on
page 27, for details on the limitations.
• [Ref. #KX-6264] KMV-3901/3911, Kaleido-X, Kaleido-X16: New alarm debouncing model,
based on a set duration (the time required for a condition to remain in error before an
alarm is raised) and a clear duration (the time required for a condition to have returned
to normal before the associated alarm is cleared).
Note: If the data you wish to import includes logical source names that only
contain digits, each of these names must be preceded with an apostrophe in
the spreadsheet (see Ref. #KX-6275 on
page 34).
Note: The NV9000 system controller must have version 6.0.24 or later of
the NV9000 router control system.
Note: The Kaleido-IP does not yet support automatic adjustment of a video
monitor’s aspect ratio based on the decoded information.
Note: Extraction of XDS metadata requires the CC/XDS option, which, in the
case of Kaleido-IP multiviewers, cannot yet be enabled or verified in
XAdmin’s Status and Options page. Contact your Miranda sales
representative for more information.
IMPORTANT
Alarm debouncing may need to be recalibrated
Before upgrading to version 6.60 (or later) of the Kaleido-X software, make
sure to review your system’s alarm debouncing calibrations, some of which
you may have to modify if you wish to maintain the same behavior.
