PLACING A CALL
Using the Handset:
1. Pick up the handset and dial the
desired number. Press Dial Speed
Button key to connect call.
2. Or press a Speed Call key
or (Redial) and dial the number.
Press Dial Speed Button key to connect
call.
Using the hands-free Speakerphone:
1. With the handset on-hook press
(speaker button). Dial the desired
number. Press Dial Speed Button key
to connect call.
Using the optional Headset:
Insert the headset jack into the Headset
port located on the back of the IP
phone.
When using a headset, press to
connect to or disconnect from calls. The
Headset icon appears when the
headset is in use. You cannot use the
handset or speakerphone when the IP
phone is in Headset Mode.
Disconnecting the headset
automatically enables the handset.
ANSWERING A CALL
Using the Handset:
1. Pick up the handset.
Using the Speakerphone:
1. Press and press the flashing
line key.
ENDING A CALL
1. Press or replace the handset.
MICROPHONE MUTE
1. To mute the phone microphone,
speaker, or headset microphone press
The other party cannot hear you.
2. Press (microphone mute button)
again to unmute and resume audio.
CALL HOLD AND RESUME
1. During a call press the hold button
to place the call on hold. The
line key flashes.
2. The caller on hold will hear Music or
Message on hold if enabled on your
system. Replace the handset if
necessary.
3. To retrieve the call on hold, lift the
handset or press and press the
flashing line key to re-establish the call.
LOCAL CONFERENCE CALLS
To create a three-way local
conference call:
1. You can create a conference with
two other parties using the phones
local conferencing feature.
2. During an active call, press
to create a new call.
3. The active call is placed on hold and
the caller will hear Music or Message
on hold if enabled on your system.
4. Dial the phone number of the second
party and press Dial Speed Button key
to connect call.
5. When the second party answers,
press again to join all parties in
the Conference.
To leave a conference, hang up or
press .
Use the Star2Star Conference room
feature for larger conferences.
CALL TRANSFER
To Transfer an active call:
1. During a call press .
2. The caller on hold will hear Music or
Message on hold if enabled on your
system.
3. Dial the number you want to transfer
the call to then either hang up or
announce the transfer.
4. To cancel the Transfer,
press (Cancel).
CALL FORWARDING
To enable call forwarding:
1. Press . Scroll through menu.
When Features displays, press OK soft
key.
2. Scroll to CALL FORWARDING and
press OK soft key.
3. Select FWD ALWAYS, FWD NO
ANSWER, FWD BUSY On/Off.
4. Press OK and TurnOn or TurnOff
option.
5. Press Review to enter number to
forward calls to. Press Change to enter
a different forwarding number. Press
Save to configure changes.
Use the Star2Star Find-Me / Follow-Me
feature found in the Star2Star Web
Portal Individual Phone Settings
section.
Follow Me (Immediate)
Find Me (Sequential
Find Me (All).
