Why does my Mitox LS45 Log Splitter fail to split logs?

  If your Mitox Log Splitter fails to split logs, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the log is correctly positioned according to the 'Log Splitter Operation' section. If the log's size or hardness exceeds the machine's capacity, reduce the log size. Check if the wedge cutting edge is blunt and refer to the 'Sharpening Wedge' section to sharpen it. Finally, if you notice oil leaks, locate the leak(s) and contact your dealer for assistance.

What to do if my Mitox LS45 has oil leaks?

  If you notice oil leaks around the cylinder ram or from other points in your Mitox Log Splitter, several issues could be the cause. Before operating the log splitter, loosen the Bleed Screw by 3-4 rotations to release air sealed in the hydraulic system. Ensure the Bleed Screw is tightened before moving the log splitter. Also, check that the Oil Drain Bolt with Dipstick is properly tightened. If the Hydraulic Control Valve Assembly and/or seal(s) are worn, it's best to contact your dealer.
